TryKaam is built by Zaid and Ben. One of them lived through the problem. Both of them got tired of watching workers suffer.
The problem
In Ernakulam, most short-shift hiring goes through a middleman. A worker does the job, and the middleman takes a cut. Often around 20%. Sometimes up to 50%. The money comes days or weeks later. Businesses have no easy way to find workers directly either. Everyone loses except the middleman.
What we're doing
We connect businesses and workers directly. A business posts a shift, a worker applies, and both sides know exactly what they are agreeing to before anything starts. For now, we are offering TryKaam for free while we get started. No middlemen, no mystery cuts, and no waiting weeks for your money.
Zaid has spent years building products that help real people. He shapes what TryKaam is and makes sure it stays worth using.

Every decision starts with the worker. Does this make it easier to find a shift? Does this mean getting paid faster? If not, we do not build it.
One city, done right
We are not trying to be everywhere. We are trying to be really good in Ernakulam first. Once it works here, we will take it further.

A shift posted at 7 AM needs filling by 9 AM. If TryKaam is slow, someone misses work. So we keep everything quick and simple.
